We old timers were not used to have to 'tick in the box' to make our orders but somehow we did it! Hahaha!
While the food did not arrive at 'fast food speed' they were piping hot and steamy! with exception of (item 5M), which was warmer than room temperature but nevertheless still quite tasty!
The seafood ingredients used were very fresh and the portions good. In addition to the earlier items 'ticked' we had a serving each of items (4A) and (4C). Total bill came to a total of RM76.80 plus taxes. The restaurant is part of the Palace group chain and this morning enjoyed rather good business, more people were coming in as we were leaving.
Watched Lady in the Water by M. Night Shyamalan last night... missed the initial bit though. Anyone else caught this? I enjoyed 'Sixth Sense' tremendously, Bruce Willis and Haley Joel Osment were the perfect combo! Gonna catch one more of Shayamalan's movie to make it a trio of his movies 'seen'.
Was driving round Jalan Kuching area and somehow landed up in Mt Kiara. I hate going into massive shopping malls (getting lost and having problems locating the carpark are two major peeves!). I caught sight of Wendy's accessible straight off the main road (yeah! great idea!) and the following was lunch!
p.s. with that baked potato, I had to pack the fries to go! Stomach getting smaller ah?

Hey, there was a special promotion at my favorite tea place at Amcorp Mall (opposite the CIMB) on the ground floor: Two pieces of scones with butter and lemon curd and a cuppa of java for less than RM8.00? Fab!

(Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Malaysia vs Singapore":
hi, I think some of the facts here are not right. Allow me to add some facts here for our info :
Hishamuddin Tun Hussein Onn is former lawyer .. meaning that he has a law degree with him .. If I'm not mistaken he was graduated from the same University with dato' Najib .. somewhere in the UK.
same goes to Radzi Sheikh Ahmad .. he was a former lawyer too.
Hamid Albar also a UK graduated and Shafie Afdal has a degree in Economics from the UK also ..thank you) ~ THANK YOU - WHOEVER YOU ARE!
Moral of the above information is..... Malaysia boleh ~ PLEASE among those of us who are QUALIFIED AND CAPABLE.... PLEASE STEP UP TO THE PLATE... but make sure lah you are in the correct political party!!! or if you are in the current ruling government, STEP UP lah! dont let the people down.

From Happy Cafe, Happy Garden: (had lunch with mother!)
Friday, December 19, 2008
OK! I did 5~1km round in 60mins again, today! Breakfast was two slices of wholemeal toast with canola spread and fig jam (from 100Yen) and sliced banana; a slice of papaya and half a fuji apple and half a mug of plain ovaltine. Must start bento-ing next week!
Look what Janet gave me!! Thanks JC! My second pinkeep!
And I even remember all I had learnt on tatting!
Just came across this ~ Ceramic Tatting Shuttle Giveaway at Lady Shuttlemaker!
I walked 4~1km round in 50mins on Monday, half an hour walkie on Tuesday and 5~1km in 60mins on Wednesday! No walkie today as I had to get some fresh vegs from the wet market again today! Came back without any new plastic bags! ;)
Was at Daiso at the Curve from 1.30pm to 3.00pm on Sunday! Met Sharon there and later spotted CP aka Market Place too. Saw a lady holding a tube of food picks (only a seasoned bento packer buys food picks) went up to her and ask if she is a blogger! Went away from Daiso with 25 items!

Wednesday's outing at BU ~ lunched at Carl's Jr
Sharon! Tks for the tip (DIY shop?) I bought Heart/Star/Rabbit/Bird cutters! And gave the heart cutters from Daiso to Rosie today.... she's abit puzzled as to what to do with them!

Four places I go over and over:-
-BookXcess, 3rd Amcorp Mall, Petaling Jaya;
-Silverfishbooks at Bangsar;
-Flea market at Amcorp Mall on Sundays;
-Amcorp Mall... on weekdays?
Four people who email me regularly:-
-My Sis who sends me stuff at the family's yahoo group site, facebook and private emails!;
-My hubby (sms only lah);
-JobstreetDomCom and JobsDB!;
Four of my favorite places to eat:-
-Sri Melaka at Amcorp Mall;
-Chinese restaurant at Nikko hotel;
-Uncle Cili's Amcorp Mall;
-Any place with ..... good makan!
Four places I’d rather be:-
-on my couch with Astro remote in hand;
-in front of my monitor chatting away with friends and blog hopping;
-Paris is good too, preferably with slim cigar in hand and goblet of fine cognac in the other and Christopher Walken carrying my floor length mink coat!
-Ice cream parlour! anywhere!
Four TV shows I could watch over and over:-
1. The Nanny
4. CSI Miami
Four people I think will respond:-
Keep spending modestly on the things you really need. In order for the economy to claw back to normalcy, we must keep the economy going by spending as needed. So while it's admirable and oh so frugal to grow your own vegetables in your yard, sensible spending is what our economy needs and what will enable all of us to survive the recession.
So visits to 100Yen outlets and Daiso (I think Jusco is the only loser here for similar products i.e.) is rather good!
Read more here: Five frugal tips for surviving a recession!
And I especially admire the results of her galant attempt at curbing and restructuring her expenses here: Report Card

Interesting read hoh?
Actually, we went through this before, a decade ago. It was part of the stimulas package ~ cannot remember how long it was for but then the government reverted back to 11% when things improved.
