Was at Amcorp Mall with Eldest gurl on Sunday and scored the following books from my favorite stall at LG level!

by Namu
and Christine Mathieu
Above: currently at page 163 of 290 ~ totally enjoying myself!
Read about NAMU HERE! and HERE! and HERE! and HERE!

Above & Below: (2) Han Suyin's "The Four Faces" ~ wow! I am on the roll in my collection of olden stories! So looking forward to read this soon!

Above & Below: (3) Alana Steward's (former wife of Rod Stewart) book: "My Journey With Farrah, A Story of Life, Love, and Friendship" ~ a lone purchase of mine from BookXcess.  Eldest gurl did better!

Ahhh, you've been to BookXcess new store! I am sooo jealous!

My little doggie is recovering from an ear op, so I'm confined to the house with her :(

When she's better, I plan to raid the store and see what I can find!

Because their books are so decently priced, I am willing to take a chance, and get something I wouldn't otherwise buy: maybe an unheard-of author, or an out-of-this-world genre! Do you do that, too?

I have been pleasantly surprised with some of my more crazy finds!!! Hahahah!

I love all your choices!!!

Hell Yeah!! it was my second visit already!

BookXcess is for getting hardcovers at the best prices! Real bargains and treasures are usually from my favorite 2nd hand stall ie the one near to the entrance of Giant supermarket on the lower ground floor.

I finished with the Namu book, now reading Han Suyin's The Four Faces.. you wanna borrow Namu?

Wishing your little doggie a speedy recovery!

Thanks for the good wishes for Toffee. She sure needs it. It's a long road to recovery for her!

And thanks for the book offer! Hahahah! I've got a good stash right now, but when I get desperate, I'll let you know ;)

Yah, BookExcess is great! Went there twice. Am a slow reader - can't keep up with you!

That's a lot of reading for this month, Emily! Me, I am still analyzing Daniel Goldman's latest, Ecological Intelligence, and trying to do a proper review of it, so I am a slow coach compared to you.

Happy Reading!

Hi Emily,

Have to reply to you here - your comments won't load on my blog, and I can't be bothered to wait!

'The Women' I am talking about stars girls only: Meg Ryan, Annette Benning, Eva Mendes, Jada Pinket Smith ... all cast and crew were women!

Did you like the Haddon book? His other work, about the dog, is sad and funny at the same time. He writes with much insight, but always with a smile in there somewhere! :)

Thank you for dropping by!

Hi Pat,
Re Women - guess not this movie, will keep an eye out for it.

Caught 'The Secret Life(?) of the Bee' last night - was enjoyable!

Oh I love Haddon's first book! DH thinks I had gone bonkers laughing by myself (while reading it!)!

catcha later!
